Every step of the AM process chain matters, but data preparation is particularly pivotal, as it establishes the parameters that govern all aspects of the build. This certificate program is designed to aid you in mastering data preparation and parameter optimization, enabling you to realize increasingly complex designs as high-quality build jobs.
The certificate program is structured into four distinct phases, which you can complete at your own pace. Each segment contains a blend of learning methods, ranging from e-learning content and webinars to practice tasks and Q&A sessions with EOS experts. Throughout the various phases, you will also have several opportunities to connect with others enrolled in the certificate program.
To start, this course introduces you to EOS hardware — the machine as a whole, its selective laser sintering (SLS) technology and other important features — and how the data preparation process affects its operation. You'll also learn the fundamentals of Materialise Magics and PSW data preparation software as you test your knowledge through several exercises.
The first half of the certificate program continues with an examination of measurements, parameters and the characteristics of polymer material. Then, you have the opportunity to learn by doing and prepare your first build job in Materialise Magics.
In the second half of this course, you'll explore more advanced aspects of data preparation and engage in another, more complicated build job. EOS experts aid the learning process at various stages, including a Q&A session just before your final exam. The certificate program culminates in that exam, which assesses your practical and theoretical understanding of data preparation. After you successfully finish the course, you will receive a certificate confirming your expertise in data preparation for polymer 3D printing. Last but not least, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a live event with EOS experts.
